Where we started

This is looking back toward the parking lot at the end of the Havi road Posted by Picasa

The valley ahead

The trails in the valleys have some of the most panoramic views I've ever seen Posted by Picasa

Out for a better view

Reis went out to the point for a better view of the cliffs and valleys Posted by Picasa

Dry river

This is normally a pretty good size river. My friend says he has never heard of it being dry. Even out here in Hawaii there has been drought over the last ten years. Posted by Picasa

The river's remains

This was one of the only little ponds left with water in the river. Hopefully it rained up there later that week od the few remaining fish and crawdads weren't gonna make it Posted by Picasa

North end surf

Even during the summer there are normally waves at the north end of the island. In the winter these waves can get pretty big Posted by Picasa

Third valley beach

The third valley doesn't have sand but the rocks look pretty cool. Normally there is a river running over this area into the ocean but it has been a short drought down there lately Posted by Picasa

The third valley

This is the third valley from the Havi end of island. These cliffs stretch for the entire length of the northwest end of the Big Island. Deep valleys extend far inland Posted by Picasa

Scenic hike

There is a trail that conects all the valleys at the north end of the island. Its a workout but there are tons of beautiful sights Posted by Picasa

Black sand beach

We went for a hike last weekend into the valleys north of Havi. The waves are usually like this up there Posted by Picasa

Couple nights ago

We've been having some great sunsets lately Posted by Picasa

Full moon on the course

Went out and tried to get some shots of the moon. I'm either not good enough with my camera or the camera isn't good for night shots. Posted by Picasa

Water sport heaven

If you want it you can rent it in Waikiki Posted by Picasa

Waikiki water front

This is a great beach day or night Posted by Picasa

Perfect surf

The water was filled with surfers. Waikiki is the perfect place to learn especially if you want to long board. Posted by Picasa

Waikiki

Reis, Pua and I stayed in Waikiki the night of the tournament. Erik stayed with friends. It was my first time in Waikiki. Awesome place and perfect weather Posted by Picasa

Go team

We might not have looked it but we were a pretty good team. We took second after six games. A game tying homer was caught in the dark on a great play to end the tournament. Next year its in Kona and we will bring home the trophy. Posted by Picasa
