Back to shore

We will have to go on another whale tour. We had a blast and saw a ton of whales. Maybe we will take our next guests if they come during the season.

Playful little buggers

When we did get close to the baby whales most of them decided to put on a show for the tourists. Drinks were flowing freely so there were lots of whoops and hollers.

Big boy

Unfortunately I didn't get any of the big whales breaching. We saw a few off in the distance. All the big whales by our boat were just cruising along with calves.

Dive Dive!

This mama whale lifted her tail and dove so we had to go find other whales

Medium sized calf

It is very hard to get pictures of whales from the boat when you don't know when they are coming, the boat is rocking, people are all moving, the boat is turning, the camera is zoomed in and has to focus. I got a few though. This calf kept coming up vertical in front of the boat.

Whale watching

Yesterday we went on a whale watching tour from Waikoloa beach. Christine gave the certificate to Reis for her birthday. We had a great time. It was called whales and cocktails.

Parks Arizona

Reis and I looked around at homes while we were visiting. This was our favorite place. Parks is between Flag and Williams. It would be like living in a national park.

Williams in winter

I didn't even know there was a creek behind Reis' parent's house. Of course it has probably never been running while I've been there anyway but it looked great in this winter setting

Reis with her dogs

The dogs had a great time on our walk thru the snow. It was a nice change from our normal weather.

Phil and Shy's neighborhood

This was the first winter in years that Flagstaff actually looked like the winter Flagstaff of old. It snowed every other day we were there. It looked great but the piece of junk rental car we had didn't handle it too well.

Calm after the storm

After surviving our night storm drive we woke to one of the most beautiful days I've ever seen in Arizona

Calm before the storm

It took us a little over five hours to get to Durango. Driving back we got caught in a white out that forced us off the road. Later we had to stay in a motel of the reservation because the roads were solid ice. Made for an exciting adventure I guess.

Our dream house

This is in Durango. Anyone wants to buy us a house like this and we will gladly accept.

For Steve

Hey Steve, if you ever move back to the mainland you gotta get one of these!

"Backside" at Durango

The first day was pretty good but they hadn't gotten any real snow since Christmas. The second day we had three feet of fresh powder.

Our last vacation

Reis and I went to Arizona at the end of January. When we got there we drove up to Durango to ski for a couple days.
